Mother Teresa Catholic Primary School
An exciting collaboration between Rossi Architects, Bennett Design and Walter Brooke & Associations brings vitality to Mother Teresa Catholic Primary School.
The new primary school campus and the individual developments are designed to inspire all who enter. Located in the new suburb of Zuccoli, it provides a comfortable and effective environment for learning and encourages both students and teachers to express themselves.
Inspired by Reggio Emilio principles, varied articulated forms and materials have been artfully employed to create inspirational learning zones and spark creativity.
High ceiling forms, volumes and voids create an abundance of natural light and ventilation in this attractive and functional design. Natural materials and neutral tones complement the internal and external visual cues that reinforce the school’s catholic identity and instil a sense of place for teachers and students.
The classrooms seamlessly connect to both indoor and outdoor common spaces creating healthy and adaptable learning environments to be enjoyed by all.
The design also delivers distinction between teachers’ daily work setting and spaces for professional development and regeneration. A new closeness with the administration area facilitates more effective and meaningful collaboration.
The design conquers the modern schools’ need for ample digital amenity to benefit students, encourage teaching staff and facilitate modern teaching for decades to come.
